Fast, native-feeling desktop client for YouTube Music with synced lyrics, offline downloads, multi-tab queues, and a mini player, for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Zuno brings YouTube Music to the desktop as a focused, native-feeling application rather than a browser tab, built with Tauri, React, and TypeScript. It offers features not available on the official web client, including line-by-line synced lyrics with adjustable timing and translation into twenty languages, offline downloads for individual songs, albums, or playlists with a configurable quality and size cap, and a morphing mini player that appears when switching away from the app. Multiple tabs each maintain independent queues and playback state, batch actions let users select and act on many tracks at once, and the queue view separates manually added tracks from auto-continued ones. Additional features include personalized recommendations, browsing by charts, moods, and genres, local file support with metadata tag editing, Discord Rich Presence, Last.fm scrobbling, sign-in with Google for library access, playlist import/export, and desktop integration like media keys, tray minimization, and auto-updates. Zuno is a fork of JustAnotherMusicClient by 2latemc, used under the Apache 2.0 license, and is explicitly an independent, unofficial project not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by YouTube or Google. It provides no downloading of YouTube content itself — only offline caching of audio for personal listening within the app — and is not intended to circumvent access controls or content licensing.
