Sigma File Manager is a free, open-source, rapidly evolving modern file manager for Windows and Linux built with Electron and Vue. It features a smart global search that can scan a full 1TB drive in about 2 seconds with typo correction, wrong case handling, and missing word tolerance. The app supports tabs, split-view panes for side-by-side navigation, a built-in extensions marketplace, LAN file sharing with QR codes and FTP support, and network location connections via SSHFS, NFS, SMB, and CIFS. Additional features include a command palette, item filtering with glob patterns, quick file preview for images, video, audio, PDFs, and text, zip archive support, WSL drive browsing on Windows, and a customizable home banner with visual effects.
