About RomM

RomM (ROM Manager) is a self-hosted web application for scanning, enriching, browsing, and playing a retro game collection through a clean, responsive interface. It pulls metadata from IGDB, Screenscraper, and MobyGames, fetches custom artwork from SteamGridDB, and displays achievement progress synced from Retroachievements, with support for over 400 platforms. Games can be played directly in the browser using EmulatorJS and RuffleRS, and libraries can be shared with friends under limited access permissions. RomM handles multi-disk games, DLCs, mods, hacks, patches, and manuals, and supports tag-based filtering by filename convention. A growing ecosystem of community and official companion apps extends RomM to Android, iOS, Playnite, handheld launchers (muOS, NextUI, Switch), and custom syncing tools, and the project is distributed as a Docker image for self-hosting.
