About Pake

Pake is an open-source command-line tool that turns any webpage into a native desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux with a single command. Built with Rust and Tauri, the resulting apps are nearly 20 times smaller than equivalent Electron-based packages — typically under 10MB on disk — and start faster with lower memory usage. Pake supports keyboard shortcuts, immersive windows, drag and drop, style customization, and ad removal. It can be used in three ways: beginners can download ready-made popular packages (ChatGPT, YouTube, Excalidraw, DeepSeek, and more), intermediate users can use the CLI with one command to package any URL with custom icons and window settings, and advanced users can clone and customize the source directly. Online building via GitHub Actions is also available with no local environment setup required. Apps generated by Pake belong entirely to the user.
