About Nuvio

Nuvio is a free, open-source media client built with Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform, sharing one codebase across Android, iOS, and desktop. Rather than hosting content itself, Nuvio lets users bring their own sources and turns them into a unified library complete with artwork, ratings, subtitles, and playback position that stays in sync across every device. Video playback runs on an MPV-based engine (via the project's own MPVKit) with libass subtitle rendering for accurate subtitle styling. The project ships an Android build on Google Play and as a direct APK, plus an iOS build distributed through AltStore/SideStore sideloading rather than the App Store. Nuvio is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0.
