Privacy-respecting macOS productivity app for automating workflows, launching apps, and controlling your Mac entirely through keyboard shortcuts and contextual triggers.
Keyboard Cowboy is a productivity app for macOS that lets users automate repetitive actions, launch applications and scripts, control system settings, and manipulate files and folders without ever leaving the keyboard. Workflows can be organized into groups and triggered sequentially or concurrently, using keyboard shortcuts, application-based contextual triggers (such as when an app opens, closes, or becomes active), or leader-key sequences. It supports a wide range of command types, including application commands, menu bar commands, URL commands, Shortcuts app integration, script commands, macros, system commands, and window navigation and tiling commands. The app is built with privacy as a core principle: it collects no personal information, sends no data to third parties, and stores everything locally, with all data processing happening on-device. It's also automatically disabled while a password field or secure input mode is active. Development uses Tuist to generate the Xcode project, and requires macOS 13.0 or later to run.
