About Gotify

Gotify is a simple, self-hosted server built for sending and receiving messages in real time over WebSocket, created because most existing free push notification services either weren't self-hostable or had been abandoned. Messages are sent via a REST API and delivered instantly to connected clients through WebSocket, with support for managing multiple users, clients, and applications from a built-in web UI. The project supports plugins for extending server functionality, and its ecosystem includes a dedicated command-line tool (gotify/cli) for sending messages from scripts, and a native Android app available on both Google Play and F-Droid for receiving notifications on mobile. Gotify follows Semantic Versioning and ships as a Docker image for easy self-hosted deployment. The server is released under the MIT License.
