All-in-one desktop photo manager, RAW developer, and pixel editor for Linux, Windows, and macOS, with direct Immich and Nextcloud integration.
FerrumPix combines photo library management, non-destructive RAW development, and full pixel editing into one native desktop application, aiming to close the gap between single-purpose tools like Lightroom-style library apps, RAW converters, pixel editors, and browser-based servers like Immich or Nextcloud. It browses local folders with fast thumbnails, ratings, keywords, and saved searches, reading tags from sidecars written by Lightroom, darktable, or digiKam so existing libraries arrive intact. Editing covers geometry (crop, distort, perspective), light and color (curves, HSL, color grading), detail and effects (clarity, noise reduction, depth blur), masks and selections (including click-to-select objects and people), a vector pen tool, retouching brushes, and a full layers system supporting text, shapes, and Photoshop files with editable layer stacks. RAW files are developed directly from sensor data with lens correction data covering over 1,500 lenses, and edits are stored in sidecars so originals are never modified. Optional downloadable model files (built on MobileSAM, MiDaS, LaMa, SCUNet, NAFNet, Real-ESRGAN, and others) add on-device object removal, denoising, upscaling, face-based people search, and automatic image tagging — all running locally with nothing sent to external servers. It connects directly to self-hosted Immich servers (browsing, upload/download, metadata sync, scoped API-key permissions) and Nextcloud (timeline, albums, people, RAW editing via sidecars on the server). The interface supports sixteen languages. It's built with Avalonia UI and .NET 10, written in VB.NET, and developed with AI-assisted workflow support alongside substantial manual engineering.
